With Piwigo, create an unlimited tree structure of albums and sub-albums to store your files. You can classify the same file in several albums, without creating duplicates. Albums are displayed in the order that suits you, regardless of their name or creation date.

In addition to albums, Piwigo allows you to categorize your files using tags or keywords. You can combine multiple tags to search for a file in your photo library. Our users love tags and use them in a wide variety of ways to organize their photo library and facilitate discovery.

Display images from your photo library on a world map with Piwigo! If your photos already include geographic coordinates, it's automated. And if not, no problem: you can assign them manually. It is both very practical for finding a file, but also for offering your users a fun and interactive way to navigate through your photo library.

Piwigo offers a very powerful search engine, which allows you to filter your photo library by combining many properties: title, file name, description, date, author, tags, albums... An album search engine also allows administrators to easily find an album.

Each file is associated with a set of properties: title, author, date, description... You can add custom fields, manage copyrights and their expiration date. Some properties are automatically imported from the file metadata (EXIF / IPTC); others can be added at any moment, individually for each photo or in batches. You can edit or update a file without losing its properties.

Each user can set aside their favorite photos to find them at any time. They also can create personal collections, i.e. selections of files for a one-time or recurring need. This allows everyone, independently of albums and tags, to personalize their use of the photo library and to save time, whether they use Piwigo daily or occasionally.
