With the Tag Groups plugin, you can add multiple filters to your Piwigo photo library.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advanced-gutenberg-blocks-notice is-variation-warning\" data-type=\"warning\"><p class=\"wp-block-advanced-gutenberg-blocks-notice__title\">Warning<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-advanced-gutenberg-blocks-notice__content\">This plugin is not available to customers who have subscribed to an &#8220;Individual&#8221; offer on piwigo.com.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reminder: how tags work with Piwigo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your Piwigo photo library contains a lot of media, you&#8217;ve probably decided to organize them with tags, or keywords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tags allow you to qualify your photos according to your own classification criteria: this can be colors, image formats, places, themes or any other useful information to easily find photos that have something in common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A photo can have an infinite number of tags, and you can combine tags to refine your search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tag search is available from the &#8220;Related tags&#8221; menu item of your photo library (that you can activate with the &#8220;Menu Tags&#8221; plugin), or from a tag cloud that can be displayed on a page of your gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nuage-tags-piwigo-1024x470.png\" alt=\"tag cloud piwigo\" class=\"wp-image-1427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nuage-tags-piwigo-1024x470.png 1024w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nuage-tags-piwigo-300x138.png 300w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nuage-tags-piwigo-768x352.png 768w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nuage-tags-piwigo.png 1066w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><br><em>Example of tag cloud<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the tags are complementary to the albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s take the example of the photo library of the <a href=\"https:\/\/archea.piwigo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Archeological Museum Arch\u00e9a<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The photos of this photo library are organized in albums: Exhibitions, Collections&#8230; Each album is also organized in sub-albums: in the Exhibitions album, there is one sub-album per exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you&#8217;re looking for photos that match a finer criterion, that&#8217;s where the tags will prove themselves useful. You can find in one click all the photos tagged &#8220;Middle-Ages&#8221;, &#8220;Necropolis&#8221;, or &#8220;Merovingians&#8221;, whatever their album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What if I want all the pictures of Merovingian necropolises?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry: I just have to combine the two tags &#8220;Necropolis&#8221;, and &#8220;Merovingian&#8221;, as you can see on the example below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-1024x640.png\" alt=\"search multi tags piwigo\" class=\"wp-image-1428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-1024x640.png 1024w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-1200x750.png 1200w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo-1400x875.png 1400w, https:\/\/piwigo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/tags-piwigo.png 1440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This operation is very simple and convenient, but the tags are all mixed together.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For an even better organisation, and an easier search, a new plugin is available on your Piwigo photo library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set up a filtering search bar with The Tag Groups plugin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This plugin allows you to use tags to set up a filtering search bar on your photo gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How does it work?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You now have the ability to regroup the tags by family, with the new notion of &#8220;tag group&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tags &#8220;blue&#8221;, &#8220;pink&#8221;, &#8220;green&#8221; can be associated with a &#8220;color&#8221; group. To do this, simply add a prefix in the tag name.
